“ Got crabs for the 4th of July and was a little bit disappointed this year. Captain Trey's is my go-to for steamed crabs and knowing how expensive they are, I expect quality AND quantity. They were large males, but not as large as usual and some were bad - no meat inside and wet. Inedible. That adds up! The seasoning they use is always excellent, especially for rolling fresh Maryland corn in. I'm hoping this was just a fluke and the crabs will be back to perfect next time I order. The staff was happy though. I sent someone else to pick up my order and they mistakenly gave them a $20 tip. I hope my next review is back to normal and it's five stars for excellent meaty crabs. ”
“ If you like good crabs for carry out and affordable this is your place. This was my first time getting carry out from here and the crabs were amazing. Delicious seasoning and not over seasoned. Steamed shrimp were a nice size and they steamed them fast. When I called to reserve my crabs they were so pleasant on the phone! When we picked them up they were just as nice in person. Little place and worth going! ”
“ I have passed this place many times but never stopped. On a recent visit back home I decided to give it a try. I ordered cream of crab soup and a platter that included fish, shrimp, clam strips, and a crab cake. My sides were a deviled egg with crab meat and applesauce. Everything was excellent. The food was tasty and prepared well, the customer service was excellent, and the food was ready very quickly. I would definitely recommend to this place to anyone who enjoys seafood! Wish I had more time to try other dishes but I will be back! ”
“ Outstanding!!!! Where do you find delicious hot Maryland steamed crabs in mid-February? That would be Captain Trey's. They were super friendly and connected me with a special they were having. I got 2 dozen large for a set price, and the crabs were heavy and good point size. They were seasoned well, cooked to order, and ready when I got there to pick them up. I found Captain Trey's through Yelp, and I will definitely be back in the future sooner than later. I highly recommend it!!! ”
“ I was looking for a dinner spot in the fly and didn't realize that there isn't a dining room. I ordered the lump crab cake platter. It seemed fitting that I give crab a try while I'm in Maryland. This place must be a local staple. During the 20 min I waited for my order, there were at least 30 people that came in for pickup orders. Take it for what it's worth coming from a guy from Florida but these were the best crab cakes I've ever had. It's not even a question. There's not even a place I can think of that's in the same discussion. I don't make it to this part of the country often but I will definitely go out of my way to grab something to eat here the next time in around. ”
